What is this?

What on earth is this website? I don't get it.

Well italicized comments, this is a blog. Originally run by two students that wanted to talk about pop culture and rhetoric, it was taken over by one of the students so that a whole new blog wouldn't need to be made. But that kinda happened anyway. Here it is.

The blog has now morphed into a thesis. The thesis is about the web show The Lizzie Bennet Diaries and the concept of transmedia. Once an actual thesis statement exists, it will be posted here.

The blog itself is the thesis. No printed and bound version will exist. The author will attempt to include transmedia elements in the thesis so that it isn't just about transmedia, it will also be transmedia.

Occasionally, non-thesis related things will be posted on the blog. Or maybe they will be thesis related but not actually a part of the thesis. It is a blog after all, so everything is up in the air.

The other student still has the ability to log in and add material. It will be clearly stated that it is by a different author. But really, that probably won't happen so don't worry about it.

We tried to separate the blog into two sections so that a person can click on the link that will bring them to their desired destination.

This should help with any further confusion and allow for both students to do whatever to they want to "the blog" side of it and for the school to promote "the thesis" side of it. And for random people to chose whichever they want.

Questions? Comments?

tl;dr
- This is a thesis project about The Lizzie Bennet Diaries and the concept of transmedia.
- The thesis is the blog and will incorporate transmedia elements.
